Simon Curwood Jewellers are one of Australia's fastest growing jewellery retail franchises and the largest
producer of custom-made diamond rings in the country.
Already established as a leader in digital innovation with their intuitive 'ring building' web tool, Simon
Curwood Jewellers approached We Make Apps with a new app aimed at retaining engagement with customers after
sales.
The Simon Curwood app allows users to insure their engagement rings and other valuable items, schedule free
cleaning sessions and book in repairs with the network of Simon Curwood Jewellery stores.

Buying a diamond ring is a rare and often emotional purchase for most people. Customers like to research online
with actual purchases made in person. Simon Curwood recognised that a mobile app is not the right tool for
customers looking to buy, but is the perfect channel to keep customers engaged and provide post-sale information
and services around this all-important-purchase.
In the hours after buying a ring from Simon Curwood, customers receive an email with an activation code for the
app. Upon activation, customers are provided 7 days free insurance for their recently purchased ring and receive
emails and reminders to upgrade to a full policy, completed via a smooth in-app experience.
With additional features for regular cleaning, downloading diamond authenticity certificates and booking
repairs, the Simon Curwood app gives customers peace of mind and creates an excellent way of engaging with
customers over the long term.

Deep integration.
While the app is designed to be extremely easy to use and a glowing reflection of the Simon Curwood brand, under
the hood there is deep integration with a number of back-office systems.
We Make Apps have built a complex middle layer API and admin console to support the app, with data about every
jewellery sale imported from their point-of-sale system to plug in to the activation flow and custom reports.
Additional API calls are made with Simon Curwood's insurance partner to set up policies, provide premium
reminders and offer a mechanism for lodging claims.
We've continued to work closely with Simon Curwood to build out a range of custom reports for store and region
performance, staff bonuses and other bespoke needs.
